Happy Anniversary to 4 Cats, Ink!

Kelly and I are celebrating two years in business with 4 Cats, Ink. We are blessed with the opportunity we have been given to make a difference by using our words to give people a voice. Everyone has a story, and ghostwriting books has been an exciting journey for us so far.

Case in point: we are so proud to collaborate with Kip Moore to bring you the book, Second Chance, about a brave young boy who successfully fought off a grave E. coli infection. It is a touching, emotional story of survival and parents overcoming fear and doubt. Please visit Kip's website (that we helped design) at www.SecondChanceStory.com.

Here is the tally so far:

  • Two people
  • Two Jeeps
  • Four cats
  • Five computers
  • Eight books
  • Two years following one dream

Thanks to all!

Jane Goodall

A once in a lifetime opportunity: we saw the notable conservationist Dr. Jane Goodall give a speech at Denver University on March 18. We both remember watching National Geographic episodes growing up describing Jane's work with the chimpanzees at Gombe. Her speech at DU was inspirational and life changing.

Kelly's weeks of meticulous planning for Eric's surprise 40th birthday party go for naught when his search and rescue pager alerts two hours before the event for a mission that never actually mobilized. D'oh!

Tail of Fire

4 Cats, Ink almost becomes 3 Cats, Ink when Yang sets his tail on fire with a candle. Kelly's decision to douse him was a tough one.

Here are some pictures of Yang getting in trouble. Let us know if Kelly made the right choice.

Jeep Improvements

Mentally exhausted from overworking himself making improvements on our website, Eric devoted a day of relaxation to making improvements on his Jeep, instead. He broke two tools, bought two he didn't need, lost another, and ended up slinking to Pep Boys with his tail between his wheels to beg for help from someone with an impact wrench and blow torch. Relaxing? Maybe he'll stick to website design.

Mason City Book Signing

The We Met at Starbucks speaking tour got off to a rousing start in Mason City, Iowa, Eric's hometown, at a well-attended reception at the Public Library. Eric planted his niece and nephew in the audience in case nobody appreciated his humor. Kelly is not sure who got more laughs: Eric's jokes, or the kids. Whatever works! Happy Thanksgiving!
